How long does a project take?

Most sites launch in two to four weeks from kickoff. The biggest variable is how quickly you can send over content and photos — once we have those, we move fast.

What do I need to provide?

A rough sense of what pages you want, any existing logo or photos, and your business info (hours, address, phone if applicable). If you don't have copy written, we'll help on the Complete tier; on Starter we'll lightly edit what you send.

Who owns the website and hosting?

Accepted Answer

You do, fully. Hosting and the domain are registered in your name and billed directly to you. We set everything up and hand over the logins. If you ever want to move on, the whole site moves with you.

Question 4

Can I edit the site after launch?

Yes — small edits are included for 30 days (Starter) or 60 days (Complete) after launch. After that, edits are billed hourly at a friendly rate, or you can ask for a small monthly care plan.

Do I need to be technical?

Not at all. We handle the tech side end-to-end: hosting, domain, SSL, forms, sitemap, the works. You'll get a short written walkthrough of anything you might want to manage yourself.

Do you work outside of Dayton?

We're based in Dayton, Ohio and prioritize local organizations, but we happily take projects anywhere in the U.S. — it's the same process by email, phone, or video call.

Question 7

Do you do e-commerce or large custom apps?

No. Foundry is built around small, sturdy marketing sites with simple forms. If you need a full online store or a custom web application, we'll be honest and point you to someone who specializes in that.

Question 8

What if I already have a domain or a website?

Perfect — we'll work with what you've got. If you own your domain, we just need access to point it at the new site. If you have an existing site, we can rebuild it from scratch or migrate the content you want to keep. Nothing goes live until you say so.

Question 9

What happens after launch — are you gone?

Not at all. Small edits are included for 30 to 60 days post-launch (depending on tier), and after that I'm still the same person picking up the phone. Hosting stays running, the site keeps working, and changes are a quick email away.

How do I know you'll actually do what you say?

Fair question. Flat pricing means I can't pad an invoice mid-project. You own the domain and hosting in your name from day one, so you're never locked in. And before you pay anything, we'll have a real conversation about whether this is even the right fit — if it's not, I'll tell you.
