About / Why Foundry
Built on trust, one handshake at a time.
I'm Marc Donovan — founder of Foundry. Below is the short version of how I got here, and why I take this work personally.

My mom is a teacher. Growing up, I watched her change the shape of kids' lives — quietly, day after day, with patience and care most people don't have. For a long time I figured I'd follow her into the classroom and try to have the same impact.
Then I got to college and looked at the math. Teachers carry an enormous amount of weight for not nearly enough in return. I respected the work too much to walk into it half-hearted, so I made a hard call and dropped out.
What I did next was knock on doors. Then more doors. Eventually I moved into business-to-business sales, on the phone with owners, successful attorneys, managers, and front-desk folks in every corner of Ohio. After thousands and thousands of those conversations, one thing became obvious:
People don't want a pitch. They want someone honest who builds something that actually works and provides real value — and is actually there to help along the way.
That's the whole reason Foundry exists. I wanted to take the trust I spent a decade earning face-to-face and pour it into something durable. From the local animal shelter to the new salon down the street and everything in between — the people who need a sharp, modern site but don't have an agency budget or a marketing team to babysit it.
One quote. One launch date. One person who picks up the phone. That's the promise, and I'm still the guy on the other end of it.
